Introducing Emma

Our New Virtual Receptionist 

From 28th January, our surgery will begin using Emma, an advanced virtual receptionist designed to improve the way we handle patient telephone calls.

Emma answers every call instantly and removes long waiting times. Instead of being placed in a queue, your call is handled straight away, helping you get the support you need more quickly.
According to QuantumLoopAI, Emma can answer every call within three rings, manage hundreds of calls at the same time, and integrates safely with NHS consultation tools.

Emma is also designed to be inclusive. She can speak all major NHS languages, making it easier for patients who prefer to communicate in another language

Changing Clinical System

Important Notice: Clinical System Upgrade (1st – 12th August 2025)

We would like to inform our patients that we will be undergoing a Clinical IT system upgrade between the dates of Thursday 1st August and Monday 12th August 2025. This essential upgrade will improve the quality and efficiency of the healthcare services we provide.

During this transition period:

  • Limited Appointments During Migration:
    Appointment availability will be reduced throughout the system transition period.

  • Prescription Services:
    Please ensure you request (by 31st July) and collect your repeat prescriptions in advance of these dates, as processing times may be affected.
  • Temporary Suspension of Blood Tests:
    Blood test services will be paused from 1st August for two weeks. You may access walk-in centres during this time for urgent needs. Please Visit: Phlebotomy (blood tests) and other lab test samples
  • Online Access Changes:
    Our existing online services will be discontinued. We encourage all patients to register for the NHS App to manage their healthcare moving forward.
